In June of this year the second training "Mapping CASCAPE innovation recommendation domains" was held. During this training several specialists from Mekelle and Addis Ababa university worked together in Addis.

The method for recommendation domain mapping is a GIS based tool which checks how new innovations are suited for a specific area. The criteria are related to biophysical as well as socio-economic characteristics. In order to understand the importance of a newly proposed innovation, local experts from woredas were asked to assess the importance of different factors affecting adoption of these innovations by farmers.

More about this type of training can be read on the BENEFIT website.
